Mums - don't even try to live without this bib!

I mentioned a little while back that I'd been sent a lovely bundle of goodies from the guys at Quack Quack Moo. Well, myself and LM have been giving the bib a bit of a whirl over the last couple of weeks, let's just say, it's so good that I'm going to be ordering in a whole load more.

LM has been teething like a crazed thing recently. He's now the (very) proud owner of two little toothy pegs. Unfortunately, this has meant the drool production has been working over time. I was literally at my wits end as he was getting through bib after bib, even the ones with the plastic backing were soaking wet within about 15 minutes. But, the QQM bibs not only kept his clothes dry, but stayed dry themselves. The secret is the Dribble Bubbs technology, the three layers of waterproof protection guard.

The other super handy thing is that it fastens with a popper - LM is so proud of his newly acquired hand control, that he keeps pulling his velcro bibs off. The other brilliant thing is that the bibs all come with a 'length n loop' ribbon that a soother can be attached to. LM doesn't use a soother (not for want of us trying to get him to take one when he was colicky, just was never interested), but the loop is a brilliant place to tie a Bicciepeg to.

Seriously, if you have a baby that's teething, (or about to start), go to www.quackquackmoo.co.uk and stock up on these little gems. You will wonder how you ever lived without them!

Rachel Zoe - designer to the, er, kids

Looks like new mum Rachel Zoe has been so inspired by the arrival of Skylar that she has decided to turn her hand to designing children's clothes. The stylist to the stars has said that her range will focus predominantly on boyswear. It will be interesting to see what kind of clothes Rachel designs for little ones as the celebs she has styled, like Nicole Richie and the Olsen twins all became clones of her and were famously referred to as 'Zoe-bots'. I'm half envisioning an army of tiny Zoe-bots, stepping out of their Missoni Bugaboos in mini maxi dresses and glad sandals. Still, the idea of aiming the range at boys in an interesting one. I'm sure most mums of little men have caught themselves looking wistfully at the rails and rails of beautiful baby girl clothes before picking up the hundredth pair of jeans for their baby boy.

Rachel has also been talking about how three month old Skylar already has his own walk-in wardrobe. Erm... hardly fair when he can't actually walk yet...

Festival Frenzy

So, it's been raining almost Biblically for most of July, that can only mean one thing - festival season is well and truly upon us. Last weekend's Lovebox was a truly soggy affair and this weekend's Secret Garden Party doesn't look like it will fare much better. But the good news is, festival season has inspired a blog post. Hurrah! I've found these wonderful and rather cool rompers at www.truffleshuffle.com.

Prices start from 20 GBP.

I'm sorry, but...

Bingham Hawn?! As if Harper Seven wasn't bad enough. Do celebrities want their children to get picked on?

Quack quack moo moo

Sorry, sorry, sorry for the slackness, I don't even really have an excuse as to why I've neglected the blog recently. I guess now Little Man has hit the six month mark, there's suddenly a lot less time in the day and the evenings are usually spent recovering! Anyway, we've just got back to London after a couple of weeks with Nanna on the south coat, and to my delight there was lovely big package waiting for us. And inside, lots of lovely goodies from Quack Quack Moo Moo. The best thing about these lovely products is something called Dribble Bubbs, which is a triple layered waterproof protection system made using organic bamboo towel, a waterproof middle layer and a soft organic cotton bottom layer. Every mum of a teething baby will know that so many of the bits and bobs on the market to protect from the drools, just don't work. We've give the bib (with a handy soother attachment - so it doesn't get lost) a trial run today and it's been superb. I'll give my verdict on the other bits very soon. In the meantime head to www.quackquackmoo.co.uk and have a look at the range. I love the cow print :-)

Mabel and Milo Sale now on!!!!

There are few words I like to hear better than 'Sale now on!' and this particular one is an absolute corker with free delivery and up to 50% off of some lines. And for those of you who aren't in the UK, this wonderful site delivers worldwide. Woopee! There's a lovely little selection of summery bits and bobs, so if you're off on hols this year and haven't got your little one's wardrobe sorted yet, have a look. www.mableandmilo.com. I am absolutely in love with this Sunny Days train hat, and seeing as Little Man has just started to really watch Thomas and Friends, it may well be making an appearance when we go to Malta later this year.

Happy Fourth of July!!

Sorry for the brief hiatus, Little Man and I have been sunning ourselves in the picturesque village of East Boldre down in Hampshire. Needless to say, WiFi reception was not its strong point. We did, however, get to meet some ponies. And Little Man had his first dip in the sea! (I think it's called the Solent) He cried, but at least he's done it!

So it's July already and it seems like summer has finally joined us! LM has spent the last week living in the little sunsuits we (optimistically) bought for him back in April. We seemed to think the heatwave we had then was going to last until August apparently. Silly, silly mummy. Little Man celebrated his six month birthday on the 1st. When I was pregnant, everyone told me the time would fly - they are not kidding!

In honour of Independence Day, I wanted to share with you, this cute vest I found online.  It's from American Apparel, and great if you're attending any Fourth of July parties :)

I love the distressed look of the print and it's a great thing for little ones to wear in the heat. (Don't forget to Slip, Slap, Slop though - slip on a tee-shirt, slap on a hat and slop on sunscreen - if you're heading outside)
