Get the look - Zuma Rossdale

Having a little bit of trouble deciding who's cuter here, Zuma Rossdale or super-hot dad Gavin. While I figure it out, here's how you can get your mitts on the trendy, knitted cap Rossdale Jr sports here.

It's a DJ cap by Appaman, which if you didn't know is a very cool kiddie boutique favoured by the A-List, and is quite the snip at $27. Stores are primarily based in the US and Canada, but there are a great range of online stockists as well. Check out the website www.appaman.com for the list.

One for the yummies...

I'm so obsessed with making sure that Little Man looks good that I've only just realised I've stopped taking the pride in my own appearance that I once did. I came to this realisation this week when I caught sight of myself, pushing the pram, in a shop window. Flat shoes, leggings, hair scrapped back in a pony-tail and not a scrap of make-up. I looked more pram-face than yummy mummy. It was a bad moment. I came home and promptly ditched all my leggings. 'It's about time you did that,' Big Man said to me. Er, why didn't he mention this before? I promptly booked myself a hair appointment and pulled my skinny jeans and tailored jackets back out of the wardrobe where they have been gathering mothballs for the last 18 months. 'You look like you again,' BM smiled as I gave him a little fashion show (complete with heels). My New Year's resolution is to stay away from leggings and unflattering boots from now on. Comfort doesn't mean dressing like a slob!

In honour of my (overdue, it seems) re-birth, I'd like to point all yummies in the direction of www.madeleine-thompson.com and in particular to the SS12 dresses. As always here are a selection of my favourite styles and designs.

These fab cashmere dresses are perfect daywear for spring and the stripes will be bang on trend. (Brilliant news as we love a bit of nautical in our household.) I'm planning on pairing mine with a cropped denim jacket, wedges and big sunglasses. Well, when it gets warmer obviously. It's scarves and gloves all the way at the moment. The gorgeous dresses will be available from www.net-a-porter.com in February. Just promise me one thing, you won't wear over a pair of leggings.

Baby clothing bouquets - genius idea

Hello everyone, I've just realised - with horror - that's it's nearly been a month since my last post! I can only feebly blame Christmas, New Year, Little Man turning one (gulp) and me turning 31 (double gulp). Oh, and the fact I've been busy setting up a sister site for this blog www.cashforstories.com - do pass anyone this way if they have an exciting true life story to tell....

Anyway, I digress. Today, I came across a site that has one of the absolutely best ideas I've seen in ages. You know when you see something and think, 'I really wish I'd thought of that'? How clever are these:

I've never seen these before and think they are total genius - they may look like ordinary bouquets of flowers, but on closer inspection, you can see that all the 'flowers' are made from newborn clothing essentials like scratch mitts, sleepsuits, hats and bodysuits. www.babyblooms.co.uk has a wonderful range as you can see, with prices ranging from 26 - 70 quid. As much as I loved all the flowers sent to myself and LM in hospital (and we were there for almost two weeks), I wish someone had sent me one of these. Actually, I wish I'd invented them! If you know anyone who's expecting at the moment, I think you should send one of these instead of flowers. Guaranteed godparent status!
