Style stealers - Max Corden

I loved seeing the pictures of the hilarious James Corden playing in the sunshine with his little boy, Max. But I have to say that James' girlfriend, Julia Carey, has clearly been reading Baby Stylist and taking notes from Flynn Bloom. Max was wearing an almost identical outfit to one Flynn was snapped in a few weeks ago, and one of the outfits we featured on our Get the Look pages.

Looking good Max!

East meets West...

One of my favourite new finds is Asian-inspired babywear label Ruby Rani. The boutique brand, which combines traditional Asian designs (think vibrant colours, embellishment, sequins, embroidery) with comfortable fabrics, is the brainchild of Kit Bhatti - who was inspired to create the range after struggling to find quality baby clothes which adequately reflected her family's dual Western and Asian identity. There's also plenty of practicality to the outfits, such as nappy poppers and adjustable waistbands, to make things easy.  Kit says of her range: “I created the Ruby Rani range as a fusion of beautiful Eastern styles and high-quality Western manufacturing standards and I really think it will appeal to Asian and non-Asian mothers alike.” I love the colours and designs, they capture the vibrant spirit of traditional Asian celebrations. Take a moment to have a look at the full range online at www.rubyrani.com, but, as always, here are a few of my faves...

Special offer for Baby Stylist Readers - from www.greennippers.co.uk

I love an eco-friendly range of baby clothes and am glad to see more and more sites popping up that offer organic children's clothes and accessories. One of my favourite new companies is www.greennippers.co.uk which have a great selection of organic baby grows for girls and boys. Green Nippers specialise in colourful organic baby clothes and accessories which are made from 100% organic cotton. The poppers and fasteners are nickel free - and the products are all ethically manufactured in Turkey under the Global Organic Textile Standard. What I really love about Green Nippers is products aren't all bland and beige like some organic ranges. The bright lively colours are dyed using natural and non-toxic dyes. The clothes are ideal for babies who suffer with eczema as organic cotton doesn't contain finishing chemicals or pesticide residues. Any mum who has lived with baby eczema knows how important it is to reduce the risk of flare-ups.

Green Nippers launched their debut collection back in December 2009, consisting of organic baby grows and matching accessories. The baby grows are even designed with extra room, to fit around cloth nappies, if you're feeling super eco. The new Junior Collection launched in August and includes smart and practical dresses, smock tops, t-shirts and leggings for girls. While for boys there is a wonderful range of tees, stylish trousers and cute dungarees.

Here are a few of my favourite pieces.

Peter Pocket Short Sleeve Boys Baby Grow

Baby Boys Blue Dungarees

Pretty Princess Pink Girls Baby Grow

Little Girls Red Long Sleeve Dress

Baby Girls Long Sleeve Top

The lovely folk at Green Nippers have offered a 15% discount to all readers of the blog. Simply head to the website and type in ORGANIC when prompted for a discount code. Now don't say I don't do anything for you!

Pumpkin Patch - Sale now on!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay! Pumpkin Patch have got a sale now on - which includes half price jeans and shirts. And the best bit of the sale is that it's not just summer stuff that's been price slashed. My general problem with kids' end of season sales is that, er, well, it just won't fit them come next summer will it? Anyway, Pumpkin Patch have a great range of sale items including jumpers, joggers, jeans, cardies and shoes. We got everything below for just over 30 GBP! My credit card is breathing a huge sigh of relief.

We also got a long-sleeved navy t-shirt but I'm having some uploading probs. Will try to add later. In the meantime, get down to PP!

My Cinnamon Girl...

New online obsession is www.mycinnamongirl.co.uk a gorgeous children's clothing company from Norway that has just launched in the UK. My favourite thing is that there is a rather fabulous Mother and Daughter range. They're also a teeny tiny bit nostalgic and old fashioned, which I absolutely love. Here is a sneak peek of their autumn/winter collection which is available from October.

How cute and girlie? And you can just picture the Mummy version with opaque tights and high-heeled pumps. Don't worry MOBS (Mummies of boys) there is a lovely range for your little man too.

Get the look - Harper Seven

She may only be a few weeks old, but there's no such thing as too young for your first NYFW, not if your name is Harper Seven Beckham anyway. Harper and mummy Victoria were snapped strutting their stuff at New York Fashion Week and both of the Beckham girls were looking fab. Victoria showed her remarkable figure off in a pink dress, while Harper rocked the monochrome look that is fast becoming her signature style. Look out Suri...

Harper's outfit is from Makie www.makieclothier.com but isn't available online. But fear not, you can still get the look for your little one. I found this cute gingham romper, complete with a pretty neck bow at www.vanilla-avenue.blogspot.com which is actually a rather good place for baby apparel.

I'm not convinced by Harper's grey socks though. A pair of white socks with a bit of frill on them would have looked far cuter. I'm half amazed Victoria doesn't have her in Louboutin crib shoes yet. Do they exist? If not, they certainly should. Wonder if there is a 'suggestion box' at Louboutin boutiques?

It's raining , it's pouring...

Erm...what happened to the Indian summer? Its more like a British summer outside at the moment, you know, wetter than an otter's pocket (I sincerely hope that's not rude?). But, on the bright side (not that it was easy to find under the absolute layers of black cloud hovering above Nappy Valley today), I've been able to give LM's Flynn Bloom inspired Jojo Maman Bebe stripy hoody an airing http://baby-stylist.blogspot.com/p/about-this-blog.html. And it's the perfect excuse to check out some of the wet weather gear available (also suitable for weaning). I happened upon a lovely site www.tobytiger.co.uk which has a great range of raincoats and wellies for little ones. The label, which you can also find stocked in lots of department stores, even has the celebrity seal of approval with customers including Gwyneth Paltrow, Catherine Zeta Jones and Davina McCall. There is a lovely range of rompers, tees and other bits and pieces, but , in honour of the great British weather, here are my picks of wellies and raincoats.

Little Pea and Bertie...

Am currently enjoying a lovely lazy Sunday morning as BM has taken over and conducted the morning rigamarole with LM while I doze in bed. I even had a lovely hot cup of tea waiting for me when I woke. And it's not even my birthday until January! Anyway, it's given me the chance to have a little browse online. I was recommended  a site by a friend earlier this week www.littlepeaandbertie.com and have managed to check it out today. There are some absolutely stunning clothes on there for babies and toddlers - I'm a bit obsessed with the  cashmere rugby shirts for boys - but there are also some lovely bits on there for mum. We're not just wombs for hire after all! Here are some of my top picks from the site:

For boys:

Cashmere Rugby Shirt - obsessed

Dino Tank Top - ideal for little monsters

For girls:

Pink Cashmere Coat - perfect for Princesses

Beautiful baby girl dress with flower detail

Totally gorgeous right?

It's A/W 2011....

Yes, it's time to face up to the fact that the weather isn't actually going to improve as we're now on the downhill slope to winter. The evenings are already noticeably shorter, I've seen a few trees with brown leaves and there was an evident autumn nip in the air earlier this week. Sob. But there is one good thing about the onset of winter and that's the autumn/winter collections coming into shops. Hooray! And this year I've got an extra reason to be happy, because I'm shopping for two. (I used that line last year when I was expecting as, but we'll overlook that.) Browsing around Nappy Valley over the last few days, I've seen some great pieces - Baby Gap, Jojo Maman Bebe and Mothercare all score highly. Boots has a great selection right now, and also has a baby event on, so it's three for two on all clothes. And Zara Kids, of course has some gorgeous stuff. I'm loving their boys range - very stripy, very Breton, very Flynn Bloom. And online, check out www.vertbaudet.co.uk for some gorgeous knits, huggable sweaters and cosy trousers. There's also 20% off if you use order code 8050 at the checkout. Here are a few of my favourite bits.

Girls:

Grey Knitted Dress - perfect with a pair of wooly white tights

Pink knitted sweater - wear over the top of a long-sleeved patterned blouse

Grey trouser -wear with pink t-shirts and long sleeved white bodysuits to maximise girly-ness

Boys:

Brown cable knit jumper - team with some dark green/brown/khaki combats

Long-sleeved blue polo shirt - pair with navy cords or just favourite jeans

Navy trousers - a good alternative to jeans
