Get the look - Kai Rooney

Coleen and Wayne' Rooney's 21-month-old son Kai made an appearance at the weekend as he saw his dad score a hat-trick against Arsenal (some football jargon there for you). He was looking very dapper in a cute and coordinated little outfit.

How much does he look like his daddy?? And I'm loving the little beige jacket, which is D&G Junior.

Scrumptious.

Get the look - Honor Marie

It's notoriously tough for the first born when a new baby comes into their life, but Jessica Alba and Cash Warren made sure they taught three-year-old daughter Honor Marie what an important role being a big sister is. They even got her the t-shirt to prove it.

The shirt is available from www.BBstees.com and comes with a Big Sister Pledge. whatever that is. They have a big brother (nothing to do with Jedward) range as well. Prices start at around $12.95.

Get the look - more Flynn Bloom!

Slightly obsessed with Flynn today. He's just so cute. Love his outfit in these new pics of him with mummy Miranda Kerr in Australia this weekend.

You can grab a very similar look from Jojo Maman Bebe with these versatile footed leggings - ideal for little crawlers who won't keep their socks on. At just 16 GBP for a pack of two, they're worth nabbing.

Team the navy pair with one of these cute stripey hoodies - also from Jojo Maman Bebe to steal Flynn's style.

Get the look - Flynn Bloom

With Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr for parents, there was never any doubt that little Flynn Bloom was going to be a looker. His big doe eyes and chubby little cheeks are just adorable and, of course, he always looks as well turned out as his glamorous parents. I love Flynn's outfit in this recent snap of the cute family (putting my feelings for Miranda and her magical post-baby body aside for the moment!) house-hunting in New Zealand, where Orlando starts filming soon.

Loving the tartan jacket, looks very warm and snuggly. I found a similar one at www.kiltmakers.co.uk

I love it teamed with a pair of navy cords. LM got some last weekend from Jeans and Co. and pretty much lives in them. They're soft and flexible enough to move around in (he's not really enjoying wearing trousers so much at the moment!), but also look smart enough to avoid the open-mouthed shock of taking him out in tracksuit bottoms. M&Co. and Blue Zoo at Debenhams always have a good range of this staple piece for both boys and girls. Here are the M&Co. cords, currently a bargain at just 8 GBP.

Add a Hevea baby soother http://baby-stylist.blogspot.com/2011/06/flynn-blooms-soother.html and your little Flynn-a-like is good to go.

Another little gem...

Happy Bank Holiday weekend to those of you reading in the UK. If, like me, you've been made a Bank Holiday widow (the lure of beer, football and no work tomorrow morning means that Big Man is currently MIA) and the televisual pickings are somewhat lacking (erm - Countryfile, Dragon's Den and Holiday Hijiack??) you'd do worse than moseying over to www.mybabyclothes.com and having a peek. Another lovely little US site here, I'm particularly smitten with the baby Fedoras. I'm tempted to order one for LM as I'm sure he'd look - wait for it - Fedora-ble in it. Ha. Ha. Anyway...here's a few of my fave bits from the site.

Baby Deer zebra print hat and sock set. Not usually a fan of animal print on bambinos, but love this.

Baby Deer metallic silver ballet flat crib shoes. Perfect for christenings. Or just fit for a princess.

FORE linen fedora. Fedor-able.

Jamie Rae leopard print with marabou trim. 20s chic.

Seventies sun hat. So on trend. So ideal if we ever have a summer.

All scrummy, I'm sure you'll agree.

Very cool site...

I have a new online obsession www.babywit.com. It's a US site and it stocks some of the coolest and original babywear I've seen in a while as well as custom making its own Babywit range of printed tees, onsies and sleepsuits. The other great thing is the prices won't break the bank - starting from around 13 USD for a printed bib. Love, love, love. Here are a few of my favourite items.

Yellow Submarine Hooded Onsie

Retro Star Wars T-Shirt (just achingly cool)

Hot Dog Print Bodysuit (reminds me of the drive-in scene in Grease)

Japanese Monkey Pants (for little monkeys everywhere)

Wizard of Oz Print Dress (also available on tees, bodysuits etc)

Think the credit card may take a little bit of a battering today. Oh dear.

Five of the worst...

I inspired myself a little with my last post to have a scout around and find some of the worst baby fashion available out there. And, my word, did I find some terrible things. I'm sure most of them are meant to be humorous, but please - I implore you - NEVER DRESS YOUR BABY IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING!

1. Baby string bikini. Available from www.babikini.com. Words fail me. And those tiny bottoms won't fit over a nappy?!

2. Nappy Jeans. Available from Huggies. These. Are. Not. A. Joke.

3. Leopard print babygro. If it's ok for Tommy Moon, it's not ok for your baby. Make this your motto.

4. Two- front teeth soother. Why would you want to make your child look like this??

5. Vests or onesies with bad taste slogans. Fine for students. Sickening on bubbas. (This was one of the tamer ones found on www.cafepress.com.au)

Hmmmmmm...I wonder what the ideas meetings for these products were like????

Creepy or cute?

I'm really not quite sure what to make of these, erm, 'interesting' bodysuits, I stumbled across while on the hunt for some gorgeous bubby couture. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts - bit of fun, or sending all the wrong messages to our kids?

There's so much in the news at the moment about little girls being made to grow up too soon, so isn't this the same kind of thing for boys? I certainly wouldn't want LM in one of these. I'm all for fun and funky kids clothing, but I just find this a bit distasteful - in the same way the padded bikinis for girls are...

Introducing 37 Degrees...

Those of you with newborns will love this sleeping bag, brought to you by company 37°. The bag works to regulate the temperature of your little one, something they can't do by themselves when they are brand new. The bag is part of a new range of clothing that uses smart textiles to maintain and regulate your baby's body temperature by storing heat in the fibres, and then releasing it back when required. Like fabric storage heaters. Go to http://qg.woolfsystems.com/37-Degrees-Sleepsack-606/ for more details and other products in the genius range.

No added sugar...

As I mentioned yesterday LM is growing out of his clothes at an alarming (and expensive rate). So much so that at bedtime last night I discovered his little legs were a bit squished up in his sleepsuit. Frantically rummaging through his drawers, I came across a present we were given way back when he was just  a little peanut (way before I had the time to write a blog!)

It's great as its footless design means LM's legs don't get all squashed up like a frog! And it looks slightly better than snipping the feet off his babygros, which is what I've done before. He looked like something out of a Dicken's novel. Anyway, I had a little peek at the website where this onsie is from www.noaddedsugar.com and was pleasantly surprised to find a few really nice pieces on there. My absolute favourite is this stunning little coat for girls.

I love the silver colour, contrasted with the gold buttons and piping. Perfect winter wear for stylish little girl babies. In fact, as the UK is predicted a cold snap this week, it might be a good time to order one now! Now, do they do them for adults....

All About The Boys...

I don't know if I've mentioned it or not, but I've been nominated for a Gurgle Blog award. Oh, I have? Sorry, I didn't realise *innocent face*. Anyway, whilst checking out the other blogs in my category, I came across a rather fabulous one www.allabouttheboysdesignerclothes.blogspot.com and a link through to the also rather fabulous websitewww.allabouttheboys.co.uk where you can grab a designer baby bargain for a snip of the price. LM is already growing out of his 6-9 month clothes - he's not even eight months yet, let's just say he takes after mummy in the sweet tooth department - so I'm going to have to stock up again soon.

Here are some of my favourite pieces:

Ralph Lauren T-shirt and Tommy Hilfiger shorts.

Ralph Lauren baby boy red jumper.

Ralph Lauren baby boy polo cricket shirt.

Retro Apericot baby t-shirt.

All of these items are less than HALF their RRP. It's a great site, and don't worry, there are girls clothes available too. Deffo one to check out if you want a stylish little baby but smart at some of the price tags. Great blog too :-)

Get the look - Zuma Rossdale

It may only be August, but it's never too early to start thinking about your little one's Halloween outfits. After all, it's the one time of the year you can justifiably dress them as a pumpkin, tiger, ladybird - in fact any of those bizarre baby outfits that you always see in shops, just never on any actual babies.

But when it comes to kids' costumes, you can't go wrong with a superhero. The Beckham boys are fans, and I nearly  cried with cuteness when I saw these pics of Zuma Rossdale as Captain America earlier today.

I found an even cuter, sleeping bag version of the Captain America costume online for younger babies. And a snip at under 20GBP.

If you're stuck for ideas for Halloween, or even a costume party, www.costumestock.com do a great range of baby fancy dress so you're bound to be struck by some kind of inspiration. The bunny girl and boy costumes are very cute. Nothing to do with Playboy.

VOTING IS OPEN

I still can't actually believe I've been shortlisted. If you like what you see, please go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MS7M82K and vote for Baby Stylist in the Mummy Fashion Blog Awards.

Katy x

Oh my actual God!

Thanks so much to everyone at www.gurgle.com for shortlisting Baby Stylist in the Best Mummy Fashion Blog category. Myself and LM are literally beside ourselves. Well, LM is actually asleep (in a JoJo Maman Bebe sleepsuit, naturally) but I just know he's thrilled. Wow. We've only been going for three months so we're delighted. Excitement!!!!!!!!

Monkeying around...

And we're back!! Even though moving is without a doubt one of the most stressful things in life (especially when you're stranded without TV or internet for over a week. Aaaaargh. I've had to re-learn the art of conversation), it's also something I find wonderfully cathartic. I love clearing the decks and starting completely afresh now and again. It also means getting to style the new house. LM has been sleeping in with us since birth, but he now has his own little room, which I'm determined to make a stylish baby room :) My first stop in my quest has to be Monkey Sew Monkey Do
www.folksy.com/shops/MonkeySewMonkeyDo where I'm lusting over all the patchwork quilts lovingly handmade by Lisa Edge. Think patchwork quilts with a modern twist though! She uses some fantastic prints, from Cath Kidston to Star Wars, to make these quirky little numbers, and I am hooked. I just the other day treated myself to a Cath Kidston Cowboy Print nappy bag, so I may be following suit with the quilt (and if you could chuck in a cushion cover too Lisa, that would be ace)

How cute?? You can get the quilts in all sizes from crib to bed and even playmat size! There's a six week wait list at the moment for Lisa's products, which means she must be good ;-)

Love to the power of ten...chicekids.com

I love being able to have an uninterrupted browse around all the children clothing stores online, I always find something fabulous. My new favourite is www.chicekids.com which - although well documented in the Mumosphere - is new to me. I love this site because it tells you what goes with the item you choose, like your own personal stylist for your LO. The other great thing is that there's a big old sale on there now too. I'm loving this Emile et Rose three piece set which has been reduced to 33.30 GBP. Yes, please!

Baby K Sale - Mothercare

Speaking of the lovely Myleene Klass, fans of her Baby K range for Mothercare will be thrilled to learn that there is a huge sale on the range at the moment. If you can't get along to your nearest store (and lets face it, why would you with those grey skies out there today) log onto www.mothercare.com and click on Baby K. The sale is on the summer collection and as we've still got about another month left - plus the warm snap we always seem to have in September - you could still pick up a bargain. I LOVE these little Hawaiian boy's shirts. Too cute.

They start from seven pounds, which is great, considering the collection is pretty pocket friendly anyway.

Get the look - Hero and Myleene

I love having a little boy, LM is just the cutest thing in the world and he's started becoming such a monkey! He climbs up the sofa, the furniture, me - I know when he starts walking, we're in for a whole new world of wonder. There is one thing about having a boy that I can't get over though and that's the fact I can't dress him as a mini-me. Well, I could  but I'm not sure how well it would go down with anyone. My heart skipped a beat when I came across this picture of the beautiful Myleene Klass and her five-month-old daughter Hero out and about in London this week.

THEY HAVE MATCHING SHOES!! It's so cute, I got totally caught up in the moment, and almost ordered LM some of the mini pumps. Almost. Anyway, if you are a SMOG (NB - My acronym means STYLISH mother of girl) and want to get some her's and her's footwear going on, then log onto www.stasia.com. Myleene is already a fan of the cute and kitsch designs and I think it's lovely that she's bought Hero some pumps to match her own. I hope Ava isn't being left out and has some of these gorgeous little shoes too. Hero looks like she's wearing the 'Scarlet Ribbon' pram shoes.

While it looks as if Myleene is wearing the Crimson Kiss mummy version.

Anyway, they both look gorgeous. And for the first time EVER, I'm a bit jealous of SMOGs. :-(. Is it really, really  wrong to buy these for a boy??

Bibalicious!

I'm a little obsessed with bibs at the moment, aren't I? Funny, because when LM was first born I HATED the things. I wondered what the point was and just thought they ruined a lovely outfit. Two things have changed my mind. 1. Teething. As much as I love dressing LM up in all his fabulous and cute clothes, getting him changed five plus times a day is more than a little tedious. 2. Bibs ARE NOT boring. This was quite a revelation to me. My favourite site by far for some kick-ass bib action is www.funkygiraffebibs.co.uk. Have a browse and you'll see that bibs can actually be a cute accessory, rather than an outfit spoiling burden. (Sorry, bit over dramatic there)

I love this grey and black pirate-style bandana bib, which I think can jazz up any outfit.

There's loads of lovely styles available for little ladies as well :) Enjoy.
